Responsibilities

• Build front and back end websites in WordPress
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of websites through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Generate WordPress themes, Plugins
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Be able to work with databases
• Conduct WordPress training with clients
• Monitor the performance of live websites
• Optimise websites

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a similar field.
• Proven work experience as a WordPress developer.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, jQuery & PHP.
• Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git, Mercurial, and SVN.
• Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
• Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
• Ability to manage projects.
• Good communication skills.
