Wordpress Backend Developer

Gyrate Digital is looking for a WordPress Backend Developer to join its team in Lahore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining the backend components of web applications, collaborating with frontend developers, and ensuring responsive web design. The role involves coding, debugging, and optimizing website functionalities while integrating third-party applications.

Responsibilities:

• Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins.
• Maintain and enhance WordPress plugins for better site functionality.
• Work with WordPress hooks, filters, and the WP REST API.
• Optimize code for performance, security, and scalability.
• Manage and maintain database configurations and query optimizations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory with proven experience).
• 1-2 years of experience as a WordPress Backend Developer.
• Strong backend and frontend development skills.
• Proficiency in Core PHP, WordPress plugin & theme development.
• Knowledge of WordPress security best practices (data sanitization, user authentication, protection against vulnerabilities).
• Experience integrating third-party services and REST APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and database optimization skills.
