Description:
We are seeking a talented Full Stack Web Developer to join our dynamic team at Astera. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and modifying our company's websites, from layout to function. You will strive to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces that feature seamless navigation and optimal performance across all devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of front-end and back-end technologies, including but not limited to WordPress, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL.
What You’ll Do
- Utilize your strong web application and PHP custom development skills to build, customize and extend WordPress plugins and themes to meet the business requirements
- Collaborate with the design team to implement responsive and visually appealing user interfaces
- Optimize website performance, including page speed, security, accessibility, and SEO
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, bugs, and website enhancement tasks
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Passionate and hands-on developer with at least one year of professional experience
- Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery
- Strong understanding of WordPress and PHP for back-end development
- Good knowledge of various web security headers
- Experience in building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Proficiency in designing and developing responsive websites
- Comfortable with debugging tools and DevTools
- Ability to comprehend changes in Less, Sass, or CSS and ensure consistent styles across platforms and browsers
- Capability to translate comprehensive layouts and wireframes into functional HTML and/or WordPress pages
- Familiarity with interacting with RESTful APIs and data formats like JSON and XML
- Skill in creating custom forms for websites
- Proficient use of code versioning tools such as Git
