Visiting Faculty

The University of South Asia is looking for qualified candidates to fill full-time and visiting faculty positions in the Computer Sciences Department. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about teaching and have the academic or industry experience to prepare students for real-world challenges in technology. The role involves delivering engaging lectures, preparing course materials, and providing academic guidance to students. Candidates are expected to stay updated with the latest developments in the field of computer science and incorporate industry practices into their teaching. Full-time faculty members will also be involved in research activities, conferences, and faculty development programs.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures and hands-on labs in undergraduate and/or graduate programs.

• Prepare course materials including syllabus, assignments, quizzes, and exams.

• Evaluate and grade students’ class work, assignments, and papers.

• Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.

• Stay updated with the latest developments in computer science and incorporate current industry practices into teaching.

• Contribute to departmental meetings and academic planning.

• For full-time roles: Participate in research activities, conferences, and faculty development programs.

Requirements:

• A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized university.

• Strong academic record.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior teaching experience at the university level.

• Experience in curriculum development and student mentoring.

• Industry professionals with relevant experience in software development, data science, cybersecurity, AI, or other CS specializations are encouraged to apply.

• A PhD in a relevant field is a strong advantage.
