**Responsibilities:**
- Coordinate the movement of freight trucks to ensure timely deliveries.
- Manage driver schedules and routes, optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
- Communicate with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders to provide updates on shipments and address any issues or concerns.
- Track shipments and maintain accurate records of transportation activities.
- Handle paperwork, including bills of lading, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Troubleshoot problems that arise during transportation, such as delays or mechanical issues.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations, including safety protocols and hours of service regulations.

**Requirements:**
- Previous experience as a trucking dispatcher or in a similar role preferred.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing situations.
- Proficiency with transportation management software and other relevant tools.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in logistics or transportation management is a plus.
