Description:
As a Trainee Sales Engineer at TekWorx, you will be responsible for assisting our sales team in generating and nurturing leads, and closing deals with clients for our technology solutions. The incumbent will be part of the sales and commercial team and shall be reporting to Technical Sales Engineer. This is a full-time role located in Islamabad and requires on-site work as well as the ability to travel when necessary. The position may lead to permanent job hiring based on the performance assessment after 12 months.
Job Role:
The incumbent officer shall be responsible for
- Work on Pre-Sales and Business Development assignments
- Work with commercial team on import and export assignments
- Prepare presentations for clients and partners
- Work on sourcing products & solutions
- Help the Sales dept to explore the market for business leads
- Predict market trends and make case studies for investment into new business fields
- Assist the sales dept to perform marketing activities for various equipment and services
- Do research on technical topics and present them in a clear and concise manner
- Check various Tender Search systems on a daily basis and identify any contracts which may
be of interest to the Company, either to bid or for market intelligence purposes
- Submit quality responses to tender inquiries with the clients under guidance from the senior
team members
- Update records and conduct follow up of submitted tenders
- Participate in tender submissions
- Maintain a list of ongoing business opportunities
- Establish good relationships with the suppliers, partners and clients
Qualifications
- Graduate Engineer (Telecom, Electronics, Electrical)
- Additional MBA will be preferred
- Good knowledge of ICT systems
- Interest in Commerce/Business Administration/Supply Chain
- Knowledge of INCOTERMS and other international trade terms (preferred)
- Good communication skills written and verbal (especially in English)
- Knowledge of sales principles and strategies, and experience with sales techniques and tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with potential clients
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Willingness to learn and develop necessary skills to succeed in the role
- One year experience (preferred)
