Founded in 2018, VeVe was created by collectors for collectors, to bring premium licensed digital collectibles to the mass market from leading brands including Disney, Marvel, DC Comics, Back to the Future and more.
As a Texture Artist at VeVe, you will play a pivotal role in bringing our digital collectables to life by applying textures and materials to 3D models. You will collaborate closely with our production and design team to ensure that textures align with the artistic vision and technical requirements of our partners.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed, realistic, and visually stunning textures
- Collaborate with the production team to understand and implement the artistic vision for each project
- Ensure textures adhere to technical specifications and optimise them for real-time rendering or high-resolution output
- Maintain a strong understanding of our strict brand guidelines to ensure efficiency
- Work within project deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and attention to detail
- Provide and receive constructive feedback to/from colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes
- Assist in the development and improvement of texturing pipelines and workflows
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Texture Artist or similar role (entertainment industry would be hugely beneficial)
- Proficiency in industry-standard texturing software (e.g., Substance Painter, Mari, Photoshop, etc.).
- Strong artistic and visual skills with an eye for detail, colour, and composition.
- Solid understanding of different material properties and how they react to lighting and shading.
- Familiarity with 3D modelling and UV mapping techniques.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to give and receive feedback constructively.
- Portfolio showcasing your best texture work, demonstrating a range of styles and technical skills.
