We are seeking an experienced and self-motivated Technical Sales Representative to join a dynamic team at a company in the footwear industry. As a leading provider of pigments, adhesives, dyes & colours specifically designed for use in the industrial fabric of footwear and shoes, we are dedicated to delivering high-quality products and exceptional customer service to our clients. The role involves day-to-day tasks such as demonstrating the technical features of products to potential clients, providing technical support to customers, and managing orders and logistics. The Technical Sales Specialist will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with customers and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Engage with existing shoe customers, serving as their primary point of contact for technical inquiries, product support, and customer service.
- Conduct regular visits to shoe customers, including manufacturers and retailers, to strengthen relationships, address any technical concerns, and gather feedback on product performance.
- Collaborate closely with the shoe manufacturing industry to understand their evolving paint and color needs, identify new opportunities, and develop targeted sales strategies.
- Prospect and acquire new customers within the footwear industry, exploring emerging markets and fostering partnerships with potential manufacturing companies.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends, materials, and technologies in the footwear industry, particularly related to industrial fabric and pigments.
- Conduct gluing and adhesion tests with customers to ensure product compatibility and provide technical recommendations for optimal results.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams such as R&D, production, and marketing to support product development, improvement, and promotion.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. A strong technical background in footwear manufacturing is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in technical sales or customer support within the footwear industry, demonstrating a successful track record of building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients.
- Deep understanding of the footwear industry, including materials, production processes, and technical requirements, with a specific focus on industrial fabric, pigments, and colours.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an aptitude for building trust, understanding customer needs, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and efficiently manage a territory within established targets.
- Willingness to travel frequently to visit customers and attend trade shows as needed.
