Description:
The Technical Project Manager supports the Associate Director Digital Transformation in successfully implementing projects undertaken by Karandaaz for the public sector primarily and for the private sector, where deemed necessary.
The individual will serve as an in-house technical expert to the team and will be expected to provide technical expertise to all internal stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct need analysis and convert into IT and technology requirements, architecture and roadmaps.
- Assess potential technical components of a project and give recommendations based on current available solutions and global best practices considering a long-term landscape
- Provide input for eliciting technical sections of Request for Proposals (RFPs) for procurement of technology and implementation vendors
- Create Terms of Reference (ToRs) and Scope of Work (SoW) for RFIs/RFPs/EOIs, in line with Karandaaz Procurement policies, to engage technical consultants/vendors for delivering digital solutions.
- Create technology agreements/contracts with consulting companies or technology service providers
- Manage the implementation of technology through effective project management and timely collaboration between vendors and various internal/external stakeholders
- Provide financial forecasting for implementation of technology infrastructure and digital transformation projects
- Create project management trackers, communication plans and processes.
- Maintain project time-frames, budget estimates and status reports.
- Hold regular technical team meetings to help address any questions or challenges regarding upcoming or ongoing projects
- Any other task necessary to ensure smooth execution of all running projects
Eligibility
Education & Experience
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Business Studies or related discipline from a reputable Institution. Project Management qualification and/or certification is highly desirable.
- At least 5 years of overall work experience,.
- Experience in managing technology vendors/service providers for deploying technology projects involving software (mandatory) and hardware (preferable)
- Demonstrated experience of IT transformational projects lifecycle from inception till implementation
- Experience in delivering IT transformational projects in public sector will be a significant advantage
Knowledge, Skills and Abilitie
- Understanding of a not-for-profit organization
- Knowledge of donor-funded programs
- Strong knowledge of techno-commercial solutions with the ability to leverage that knowledge for advising on technology selection
- Proficient skill in MS Office Suite and Google Suite
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
