Technical Product Specialist

Description:

S&P Global Market Intelligence is seeking a Technical Product Specialist to join its Enterprise Data Delivery Solutions team in Islamabad. This role is integral to ensuring high-quality client experiences through technical consultation and hands-on support for deploying, configuring, and maintaining S&P Global’s Xpressfeed Loader application and associated data delivery tools.

You will work closely with global Datafeed Application Specialists, Product Managers, and Sales Teams to assist enterprise-level customers. This includes sizing, environment setup, deployment support, configuration, and troubleshooting. As the key technical liaison, your impact will be felt across customer satisfaction, internal process improvement, and product innovation.

This is a dynamic position for individuals who are tech-savvy, client-oriented, and eager to learn about financial data systems and global markets. Your insights will also shape future product roadmaps and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a subject-matter expert for Channels Data Delivery solutions

• Deploy and support Xpressfeed Loader in enterprise environments

• Provide solution sizing, configuration, and performance tuning support

• Troubleshoot technical issues and recommend product enhancements

• Collaborate on pre- and post-sales opportunities with global teams

• Recommend automation and tool improvements to support processes

• Participate in product testing, strategy planning, and user feedback loops

• Support clients with upgrades, migrations, and environment assessments

Core Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

• Prior experience in technical support or technical sales preferred

• Proficiency in software deployments, configuration, and Windows/Linux OS

• Knowledge of SQL and cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Familiarity with EC2, RDS, and AWS infrastructure is a plus

• Self-motivated and adaptable to rapidly changing technology

Highly Desired Skills:

• Understanding of financial markets, capital markets, and data workflows

• Experience with databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL)

• Knowledge of Windows/Linux system administration and security

• Familiarity with FTP protocols, proxies, networking, and cloud environments

• Exposure to Agile/Scrum, data integration, and big data concepts
