RTI International is seeking a qualified Technical Lead for the anticipated USAID Pakistan Education Sector Resilience Activity. The Activity aims to Support Pakistan to improve the education systems’ climate resilience and inclusiveness of marginalized populations- particularly girls and children with disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for supporting the CoP in developing a technical vision and strategy for the project shared with project team and key stakeholders, with the ultimate goal to increase safe learning opportunities and strong performance for all children regardless of gender and disability.
- With support from technical staff, deliver a program focused on gender-responsive and inclusive education programming for children and youth in targeted regions of the country. This includes, but it is not limited to, development of content, teacher training, capacity building of various stakeholders in pre-service and in-service institutions, as well as collaboration and strengthening of national and sub-national government entities.
- Design and implement a variety of education assessments to measure impact and student learning performance in formal and non-formal settings. Support other activities related to monitoring and evaluation, and adaptive management.
- Ensure program strategies and activities represent global good practice in education. Document and share best practices across various provinces, as applicable.
- Ensure strong collaboration of key project governments partners as well as engagement of relevant private sector and civil society entities. In collaboration with the senior leadership, design and undertake communications and outreach activities to positively shift perceptions vis-à-vis gender equity and inclusive education.
- Oversee, train, and support technical staff working in various provinces of Pakistan, including our local partners.
- Foster and maintain effective, professional relations with government counterparts, local organizations, donors and other stakeholders for successful implementation.
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other development partners and their initiatives.
- Liaise with USAID and RTI home office on technical issues and reporting on technical programming.
- Develop and implement practices to ensure a high level of staff morale and retention of technical staff at all levels.
- Support and contribute to the writing of regular monitoring reports such as quarterly progress reports.
