Description:
The incumbent is responsible for supervising the team to achieve operational KPIs and customer satisfaction benchmark. The person in this position is responsible for ensuring that the team’s performance and assigned targets.
Responsibilities
- Managing the day-to-day activities of the team involving pickup, delivery, material movement ensuring day closing of shipments, company cash and assets.
- Supervising team for proper material handling as per instructions and SOPs to avoid damages and losses.
- Arrange proper stacking and loading/unloading of material.
- Conducting analysis for resource allocation for optimal utilisation.
- Conducting training of team members to maximise their potential.
- Handle customer inquiries and complaints. Ensure that all customer issues are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Developing work schedules and ensuring that staff adhere to it.
- Recruiting good and qualified staff.
- Conduct training need assessments of staff and actively participate in staff training.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Experience in logistics or operations management
- Knowledge of inventory management software
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- At least 2 years of experience in the related field
