System Operations Engineer

Description:

Planet Beyond is looking for a System Operations Engineer to manage and maintain our IT infrastructure. This role requires strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to system operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain Linux-based servers (Red Hat, Debian, Ubuntu).
• Oversee Proxmox virtualization & backup solutions.
• Administer and optimize MySQL databases for performance tuning.
• Implement database monitoring using PMM or similar tools.
• Configure and manage web servers (Nginx, Apache).
• Utilize monitoring tools (Nagios, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure system stability.
• Develop automation scripts using Bash and Ansible.
• Work with enterprise-grade hardware (Dell) for system maintenance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

✔ Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
✔ 1-2 years of hands-on experience in system operations and IT infrastructure management.
✔ Strong expertise in Linux, Proxmox, MySQL, web servers, and monitoring tools.
✔ Proficiency in scripting & automation using Bash and Ansible.
✔ Ability to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
✔ Familiarity with enterprise-grade hardware (Dell).
