System Engineer

Description:

· Oversee the installation, configuration and maintenance of the projects Infrastructure and its supporting systems including Servers, Network Devices and Storage. To ensure the delivery of the agreed service availability and reliability targets.

· Management Administration and configuration of Linux/Windows servers, all level3 tasks.

· Troubleshooting and configuration of BIND (DNS), Tiny DNS, Apache, Nginx, Lite Speed, Exim, Postfix, Send Mail FTP, Pure FTP, Pro FTP, MYSQL Server, Iptables, APF, CSF Cpanel/WHM, Plesk etc.

· Build servers according to SOPs for fully managed client and easy managed clients and Installation of required versions of MYSQL, PHP, and Apache.

· Prepare Route Cause Analysis (RCA) reports and Security Policy Documents.

· Monitor Servers and Services for alerts to take appropriate action to investigate the cause of the problems.

· Server Security & Hardening, Secure and harden various services like SSH, FTP, Telnet, DNS.

· Proactive monitoring of server stability i.e. health checks including CPU Load, Disk Load and Bandwidth Utilization.

· Liaising with multiple Datacenters either to get new services or to resolve any technical issue that has occurred at their end to ensure provision of smooth service to international organizational clients.

· Installation and configuration of CSF, APF, and IPTABLES firewall rules.

· Security Auditing. Tweaking Web server for better performance.

· Have great coordination with the Data Centers

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 2+ years of experience as a System Engineer or similar role, with expertise mentioned above in description

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and implement effective solutions.
