System Administrtor/it Support

Description:

We are looking to hire Linux Administrator with a strong foundation in Ubuntu . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience managing and maintaining Linux-based systems, as well as a proven track record of working with DigitalOcean cloud infrastructure. This role will involve configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Linux systems to ensure optimal performance.

Job Responsibilities:

System Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain Ubuntu servers on DigitalOcean.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Perform system updates, patches, and upgrades.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.
• Infrastructure Management:
• Design and implement scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions on DigitalOcean.
• Manage virtual machines, networks, and storage.
• Optimize resource utilization and cost-efficiency.
• Implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.

Security:

• Implement and maintain security best practices and policies.
• Configure firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other security measures.
• Respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with development teams to deploy and maintain applications.
• Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure smooth operations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members.

Job Requirements:

Strong proficiency in Ubuntu Linux administration.

Good to have experience working with DigitalOcean cloud infrastructure.

Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, routing).

Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM, LXC).
