Description:
• Prepare a project management plan
• Manage and monitor the project, staffing plans, budgets, and minutes of meetings
• Plan and supervise project activities
• Define and manage project scope
• Resolve routine project issues during project execution
• Manage project teams and resources
• Perform regular project communication with the client and management and report project progress
• Co-ordinate with Project Sponsor and project team
• Understand the scope of the effort in terms of requirements, man-hours, or functionality points
• With the help of the relevant leads, define project parameters, i.e., timelines, manpower requirements, risks, estimates, etc.
• Negotiate, establish, coordinate, and oversee the deliverables of the project
• Act as the “client” for the local project team
• Ability to study and analyze data and suggest strategic action items for business advantage
• Develop team schedules and assist in the successful onboarding and training of team members
• Be ultimately responsible for the quality of service being delivered by the team
• Provide frequent feedback on employee performance, address weaknesses or inefficiencies, and offer support to improve skill gaps
Technical Background:
• 10+ years of experience in team & people management
• Must have experience working on and managing projects for international clients
• Experience managing large, complex projects in a highly aggressive result-oriented atmosphere
• Experience in both Waterfall and Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, XP, etc.)
• Strong communication skills to be able to communicate effectively with staff, other teams, senior management, and customers
• Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
