Description:

A PHP Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications and websites that leverage PHP as the primary programming language. Responsibilities:

• Web Application Development: Write well-structured, efficient, and maintainable PHP code to create web applications and websites that meet project requirements.

• Server-Side Scripting: Develop server-side logic and integrate it into web applications, ensuring smooth and efficient data processing.

• Database Integration: Work with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) to design and implement database schemas, as well as perform CRUD (Create, Read, Update, Delete) operations.

• Front-End Integration: Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate PHP code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create seamless user experiences.

• Framework Utilization: Depending on project requirements, use PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symphony, CodeIgniter) to expedite development and enhance code maintainability.

• Debugging and Testing: Identify and fix bugs, errors, and performance issues within PHP code. Conduct unit testing and debugging to ensure code reliability.

• Security: Implement security best practices to protect web applications from common web vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).

• Version Control: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage codebase changes and collaborate effectively with team members.

• Performance Optimization: Optimize PHP code and queries for improved application performance and scalability.

• Documentation: Create technical documentation, including code comments and user guides, to facilitate team collaboration and future maintenance.

• Upgrades and Maintenance: Keep abreast of PHP and web development trends and apply updates, security patches, and enhancements to existing web applications.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proficiency in PHP and web development technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

• Knowledge of PHP frameworks and libraries.
