Description:
The Product Quality & Specifications Specialist is responsible for Customer quality request handling in a timely manner by interacting/negotiating/data collection and interpretation for the products from the Ingredion’s manufacturing sites all over the globe. That includes but not limited to, specifications agreements, supplier and manufacturing site evaluations and knowledge/experience-based responses on the emerging regulatory/quality/food safety topics.
Core Responsibilities
Customer Quality Request Handling EMEA/Pakistan
- Understands customer expectations and requirements, Initiates, and conducts thorough customer requests analysis, implements, and provides feedback to customers.
- Complete complex documentation of products as well as sites for international customer by engaging technical, sales and corporate teams. Contribute to solutions for customer Specification alignments and agreements.
- Arrange response to the customer requests on emerging requirements, alignment on the typical data, monitoring plans and communication to the relevant department on the agreed specs for the execution etc.
- Flagging the hot topic to the regulatory, quality and sustainability departments to start work on customer trends and draft a comprehensive immediate response followed by long term evaluation and monitoring plan in line with QMS requirement.
- Creation/managing/maintaining data pool of customer specs, SAQ’s, Hot topics etc. for future reference.
- Strong networking with regional teams including quality, supply chain, customer services, regulatory, legal compliance & Corporate sustainability to acquire the required information for customers.
- Working with KEY ACCOUNTS for on time response of projects in pipeline. Strong co-ordination with all relevant stakeholders to execute a project.
- Proactive intimation of availability of documents for Ingredion manufacturing sites globally that are needed to approve the relevant manufacturing site and products at customer ends.
- Online customer Portal’s setup and working alignment for customer documentation.
- Establishes lines of communication with regulatory, quality and customer to align internal parameters, provide information on working conditions and matter of concerns for customers (Allergens, TACCP, VACCP, HACCP, ISO systems)
- Support the team lead on AIP and work management in peak load times.
Management of Vendor Quality
- Setting up quality specifications for raw and packaging materials in agreement with vendors and all internal stakeholders.
- Maintain and develop (where needed) with the suppliers’ material specification and material safety data sheets to ensure proper quality compliance of incoming materials.
- Review vendor quality systems and ensure regulatory compliance on vendor-supplied materials.
Site Quality Assurance
- Active participation in the Site Quality certifications/ QMS requirement’s gap analysis and execution of improvement plans.
- Implementation of regulatory compliance monitoring activities on the footprints of EU
Mandatory Requirements
Qualified candidates will have:
- Degree: Master’s in food science and technology
- Work experience: 3 years in food manufacturing industry with core competency in document management/creation and customer quality requests handling
- Knowledge of B-to-B industry, ingredient manufacturing operations, Starch, Sweeteners technical and application knowledge.
- Experience in supporting customers with technical documentation, remote auditing.
- Data management skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- English fluency, both written and spoken
