Solar Asset Performanace Engineer

Description:

We seek an experienced Solar Asset Performance Engineer to optimize solar asset performance, efficiency, and reliability across our solar portfolio. The successful candidate will analyze data, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions to ensure maximum energy production and revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Solar Asset Performance Monitoring:

- Collect and analyze solar asset performance data (e.g., PR, IR, availability).
- Identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.

2. Performance Optimization:

- Conduct site assessments to identify underperforming solar assets.
- Develop and implement corrective actions to improve performance.

3. Data Analysis:

- Utilize data analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to analyze performance data.
- Develop and maintain dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs).

4. Root Cause Analysis (RCA):

- Conduct RCAs to identify underlying causes of solar asset underperformance.
- Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

5. Maintenance and Repair:

- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for solar assets.
- Coordinate with O&M teams for repair and maintenance activities.

6. Reporting and Communication:

- Provide regular performance reports to stakeholders.
- Communicate solar asset performance issues and solutions to operations and maintenance teams.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience in solar asset performance engineering or related role.
3. Strong knowledge of:
- Solar energy fundamentals
- PV system design and operation
- Solar asset performance metrics (e.g., PR, IR, availability)
- Data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau)
- CMMS software (e.g., SAP, Maximo)
4. Analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
