Description:
We seek an experienced Proposal Writer to join our team, specializing in government software development projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating compelling, compliant, and winning proposals in response to government RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government contracting, exceptional writing skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proposal Development: Lead the development and writing of high-quality proposals for government software development projects, ensuring compliance with all solicitation requirements.
- Content Creation: Craft clear, concise, and persuasive content that effectively communicates our technical capabilities, project methodologies, and value propositions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with technical experts, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and ensure accurate and complete proposals.
- Compliance: Ensure all proposals adhere to government regulations, guidelines, and submission requirements.
- Editing and Proofreading: Review and edit proposal content for clarity, grammar, and consistency, ensuring a polished and professional final product.
- Research: Conduct thorough research to understand the client’s needs, competitive landscape, and industry trends to tailor proposals accordingly.
- Process Improvement: Continuously improve proposal development processes, templates, and content libraries for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
- Deadline Management: Manage multiple proposals simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and proposals are submitted on time.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in proposal writing, specifically for government software development projects.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of government procurement processes, FAR regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Skills: Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail. Ability to translate technical information into clear, compelling content.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business, or a related field.
