The team: Editorial, Design & Publishing, or EDP, is a cross-divisional group offering editing, design, data visualization and publishing support to ensure the quality of customer deliverables. In this role, you'll collaborate daily with diverse colleagues from our global team, fostering a supportive work culture.

The impact: The work you do will be utilized daily by EDP members and our internal research clients across most divisions at S&P Global. Our ongoing efforts in developing self-service Author Content Tools not only enhance operational efficiencies and ensure brand compliance but also create a more enjoyable working experience by automating tedious tasks, freeing up valuable time for more fulfilling, complex activities.

What We’re Looking For
 

• 1-3 years of experience developing and implementing Microsoft Office web add-ins with ASP.NET/JavaScript frameworks (jQuery, TypeScript, React, node.js)/C#/ Visual Studio, etc. to extend the functionality of Office Applications (primarily Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
• The ability to conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure proper functionality, error handling and compatibility
• Experience in optimizing the performance of the Office add-ins to ensure they are responsive and efficient and minimize the impact on the performance of Office applications
• Understanding of Agile software development, working in a team environment and continuous versions and improvements
• Great interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills
• Nice to have
  • Knowledge of creating Microsoft Office add-ins using VBA (Visual Basic for Applications)
  • Bot experience
  • Cloud experience with Azure Cloud Services
  • Exposure to generative AI
  • Experience in the integration of Office Add-ins with other APIs and services such as Microsoft Graph
  • Experience developing code in a team environment with multiple contributors
  • Python exposure
  • Interest in creating solutions and templates for interactive and unique visuals such as Flourish, Adobe scripting or Infogram
