Social Media & Community Manager

 

Description:

We are looking for a creative and tech-savvy Social Media & Community Manager to manage our social media channels and build a vibrant community around our brand. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in social media and community management.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

1. Social Media Management:

- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies to align with our marketing goals.

- Streamline, schedule, and publish engaging content across various social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, etc.).

- Monitor social media channels for trends, opportunities, and relevant discussions to engage with.

- Respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly to foster a positive community experience.

- Analyze social media metrics to track performance, measure the success of campaigns, and optimize strategies.

 

2. Community Engagement:

- Build and nurture a vibrant online community on platforms like Discord and social media, engaging with users to promote our brand and platform.

- Organize and participate in community events, both online and offline, to increase brand awareness and engagement.

- Develop and implement community engagement campaigns, such as contests, giveaways, and interactive content.

- Manage and moderate community discussions, ensuring a positive and respectful environment.

 

3. Trend Jacking and Viral Marketing:

- Stay updated with the latest social media trends and viral content to leverage them for our brand.

- Execute guerrilla marketing and trend-jacking strategies to create viral content that resonates with our audience.

- Collaborate with creators, influencers and affiliates to amplify our reach and impact.

 

4. Content Creation:

- Collaborate with the creative team to produce high-quality content, including text, images, videos, and graphics.

- Ensure all content is consistent with our brand voice, style, and messaging.

- Generate ideas for new and innovative content to keep our audience engaged and growing.

 

5. Collaboration and Coordination:

- Work closely with the creative, marketing, and product teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all channels.

- Oversee email marketing and outreach efforts, working in tandem with the outreach specialist and be a guiding force to ensure efficacy.

- Liaise with relevant teams to stay informed about new developments, features, and updates.

- Coordinate with the creative lead, video editors and graphic designers to bring content ideas to life.

 

Requirements:

- Proven work experience as a Social Media & Community Manager or similar role.

- Hands-on experience with social media management for brands.

- Experience managing and engaging with communities on Discord.

- Strong understanding of social media metrics and analytics tools.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Creative thinker with the ability to work independently and identify and leverage trends for viral marketing

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.

- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.

 

Preferred Skills:

- Experience with organic social media advertising and paid digital marketing.

- Knowledge of SEO and web traffic metrics.

- Familiarity with content creation strategies and tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
