Senior Mechanical Technician

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of the manufacturing process, from the initial setup of machinery to the final production. Responsibilities

Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skills to repair, service and troubleshoot of manufacturing industry equipment.

Inspect, maintain, repair and troubleshoot hydraulic presses, rolling presses, grinding and polishing machines, belt conveyors, generators, air compressors, gear boxes.

Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on hydraulic systems

Responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining hydraulic equipment and systems

Install new hydraulic systems and components

Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose hydraulic systems, and carry out preventive maintenance tasks.

Repair or replace broken or malfunctioning components.

Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary

Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance

Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts

Experience in using hand and power tools

Conduct routine and non-routine maintenance on manufacturing equipment, ensuring minimal downtime

Troubleshoot issues with mechanical systems and make necessary repairs

Maintain a clean and safe working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations

Document mechanical maintenance and repairs, and maintain company equipment records

Requirements

Associate degree in Mechanical, or similar field.

5 to 8 years proven experience as a Mechanical Technician in the manufacturing sector.

Strong understanding of mechanical devices, tools, and equipment.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.

Certifications in mechanical repair, welding, or a related field are an advantage.
