Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Manager of Technical & Digital Operations to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of our existing websites and digital marketing client accounts. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the seamless integration, maintenance, and performance of digital solutions, as well as supporting our clients' growth and satisfaction through technical expertise and project management.
As the Manager of Technical Operations, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including digital marketers, designers, developers, and clients to ensure the technical health, optimization, and continuous improvement of client websites, digital marketing campaigns, and associated systems.
Key Responsibilities:1. Website Management:
- Oversee the technical management and maintenance of client websites, ensuring they are secure, optimized, and fully functional.
- Collaborate with web developers, designers, and IT teams to ensure website performance, uptime, and scalability.
- Regularly monitor site performance (page load speed, uptime, etc.) and implement technical improvements.
- Implement and manage CMS (e.g., WordPress, Shopify, Drupal) updates, plugin integrations, and other website functionalities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to websites, hosting, or integrations with third-party tools.
2. Digital Marketing Operations:
- Oversee the implementation of digital marketing strategies and campaigns, working closely with the digital marketing team.
- Ensure proper integration of digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Ads, social media tools, email marketing platforms) with client websites.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on digital marketing campaign performance, offering insights and technical improvements.
- Ensure smooth execution of SEO, SEM, PPC, and other performance marketing strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to implement A/B testing, conversion rate optimization, and landing page enhancements.
3. Client Support & Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding technical issues or website concerns.
- Provide timely and clear communication to clients about technical progress, issues, or enhancements.
- Offer expert advice and recommendations on technical improvements for websites and digital marketing initiatives.
- Ensure all client requests are handled efficiently and effectively, aligning technical capabilities with client needs and expectations.
4. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Manage a team of web developers, technical specialists, and other technical personnel to ensure project delivery and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the internal team to define project timelines, objectives, and ensure that tasks are completed on schedule.
- Ensure the team adheres to best practices and high-quality standards for both technical and client-facing deliverables.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members and help foster a positive and productive team environment.
5. Technical Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for all projects, systems, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Create and present regular technical performance reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations for system upgrades, integrations, and optimization based on data and emerging digital trends.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Digital Marketing, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technical operations or web management role, preferably in an agency or client-facing environment.
- Proven experience managing websites, web development projects, and digital marketing campaigns.
- Strong background in SEO, PPC, web analytics, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Shopify).
- Experience with technical troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving related to websites and digital marketing tools.
- Skills:
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.) and website optimization.
- Familiarity with web hosting, cloud services (AWS, Azure), and CDN management.
- Proficient in using digital marketing platforms (Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, HubSpot, etc.).
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret data to make informed decisions.
