Description:
As an Assistant Vice President/Senior Manager – Institutional & Corporate Sales, you will lead and drive sales operations focusing on increasing Net Assets Under Management (AUM), generating revenue, and expanding the client base. This role offers significant growth potential, allowing you to develop and maintain strong client relationships, provide expert financial advice on mutual funds/funds investing in a range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, and alternate assets like private equity and real estate, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Increase Net AUM, generate revenue, and enhance and maintain the client base as per assigned targets.
- Identify new clients and effectively market JS Investments and its products & services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage further investments, providing necessary after-sale service to nurture their confidence.
- Handle clients’ queries and provide them with the best financial advice in accordance with their needs.
- Establish & Manage relationships through a regular calling program
- Increase the visibility of JSIL Funds and VPS and improve awareness of our products.
- Work closely with the Investment management team to obtain details on the Markets and Products and communicate the key features of our products compared to the competition.
Investment Advisory and Portfolio Management:
- Provide comprehensive advice on a range of asset classes, including equity, fixed income, private equity, and real estate, to meet clients' financial goals.
- Monitor, analyze, and clearly communicate market trends, economic indicators, company fundamentals, investment ideas, and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
- Develop and execute strategies to diversify clients' portfolios across different asset classes.
- Conduct regular performance reviews of clients' investment portfolios and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate with the research team to stay informed about developments and opportunities within various asset classes.
Team Management and Development:
- Build and lead an effective sales team, monitor their performance, and manage their issues as per the Company’s approved policies and regulations.
- Actively engage in hiring skilled resources and regularly train the team on products, market trends, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate actively in learning and development activities initiated by the Company.
Sales Activities and Documentation:
- Ensure that all client documentation is in line with regulatory requirements.
- Manage Regional Office administration matters in liaison with Head Office Administration.
- Provide regular performance, product and competitor updates
- Deliver sales budgets for the given geography/distributor portfolio
- Procure new and maintain direct relationships with assigned customers/network clientele
Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:
- Stay updated with the latest compliance and regulatory matters of SECP, FBR, and other related authorities.
- Ensure all investment recommendations and decisions comply with internal policies and regulatory guidelines concerning different asset classes.
- Productively work with the Operations/Customer Service to ensure efficiency is maintained.
Education:
- Preferably a Master’s degree from a recognized institution.
Experience:
- Preferably 8 years of relevant experience in the industry with at least three years in a senior role.
- Proven experience in selling and managing at least one asset class, such as fixed income, equity, or alternate assets like private equity and real estate funds.
- A good understanding of mutual fund products.
- Strong selling skills & commercial acumen
- Good verbal and written communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
- The inclination to work in a client-facing, sales role
