Senior Database Architect

Description:

Experience: 5-7 years

Responsibilities:

Design and develop database solutions that meet organizational needs and align with business goals.

Define and implement database architecture standards and best practices.

Optimize and maintain database performance through monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting.

Ensure data security, integrity, and availability across all database environments.

Collaborate with software developers to integrate databases with applications.

Evaluate and recommend database technologies and tools based on project requirements.

Conduct database capacity planning and resource management.

Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies.

Stay updated with emerging database technologies and industry trends.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior database administrators.

Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven work experience as a Database Architect, Database Administrator, or in a similar role.

Strong proficiency in Oracle, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and MySQL.

Solid understanding of database design, data modeling, and schema normalization.

Experience with database performance optimization, indexing, and query optimization techniques.

Familiarity with database security best practices and regulatory requirements.

Hands-on experience with cloud database services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database).

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
