Senior Backend Developer

We are looking for a seasoned Backend Developer to join our team on a part-time basis to drive the development of scalable systems and APIs while collaborating closely with the frontend development team.

 

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems and APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications.

Work closely with the frontend team to ensure smooth communication between the backend and user interfaces.

Build and optimize scalable systems to handle large-scale data efficiently.

Implement secure and high-performance database architectures.

Write clean, maintainable code and perform rigorous testing to ensure quality and reliability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI and NLP experts, to support cutting-edge technology development.

Deploy and manage backend applications on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Required Skills

Backend Development:

 

Expertise in frameworks like Flask, Django, FastAPI, or similar.

Strong proficiency in building and consuming RESTful APIs.

Experience with WebSocket and real-time communication protocols.

Advanced database skills: MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cassandra.

Integration & Scalability:

 

Knowledge of distributed systems and microservices architecture.

Proficiency in containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Hands-on experience with caching mechanisms such as Redis or Memcached.

Collaboration & Communication:

 

Ability to work closely with the frontend team to align backend solutions with user interface requirements.

Excellent problem-solving skills and a team-oriented mindset.

Cloud Deployment:

 

Experience deploying and managing applications on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Understanding of serverless architecture and CI/CD pipelines.

Additional Tools & Practices:

 

Proficiency in Git version control and collaboration workflows.

Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

5+ years of professional backend development experience.

Proven track record of delivering high-quality, scalable backend solutions.

Experience working in AI and NLP-focused environments is a plus.

Prior experience mentoring or guiding junior developers.
