Description:
Senior Analyst Green in the Corporate Investments & Credit (CIC) team will assist the team in deal management, sector and technology analyses along with origination and development of the pipeline for KRN’s green investments.
Job Responsibilities
Deal Origination
- Identify and evaluate potential new credit, equity and hybrid investments in the Green sector.
- Track and manage pipeline of new potential private equity/credit investments in the Green sector.
Investment Evaluation & Execution
- Conduct industry and market research
- Conduct extensive financial modeling including sensitivity analysis to evaluate potential investment opportunities
- Create and critically analyze financial models, business plans and investment thesis of the Green projects in general and Renewable Energy/Energy Efficiency (RE/EE) in particular.
- Assist in performing due diligence for investment opportunities, including thorough review of industry and company details, and evaluating the overall merits and risks, valuation, and return profiles of companies across the sector.
- Communicate analysis of investment opportunities, results, and recommendations via reports and presentations, including preparing qualitative and quantitative assessments, memoranda, and spreadsheets.
- Assist in preparing high quality submissions for the Investment Committee including memoranda and financial models
- Participate in the negotiation and finalization of transaction documentation
- Assist in execution of transaction documentation and closing items
- Keep track of new developments in the green space including commitments made in the Conference of the Parties (COP), Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC) through Ministry of Climate Change etc.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Bachelor’s or equivalent degree. Specialization in Finance preferred including CFA and other professional certifications.
- 3-5 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Principal Investing in alternate energy projects, Impact Investing, or M&A group of a recognized multinational corporation.
- Candidates with experience of working with a financial institution and in assessing and structuring credit deals will be preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Understanding of a not-for-profit organization
- Good knowledge of business finance and basics of financial analysis
- Good knowledge of accounting regulations
- Expert level skill in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Intermediate level skill in Google Suite
- Strong command over oral and written English. Should be fluent in Urdu.
