Description:
Tanvir Packages Pvt Ltd is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in all accounting entries, handling tax matters, and preparing financial statements. This role requires strong knowledge of accounting practices, tax laws, and experience in opening LCs and handling related matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and timely recording of all accounting entries into the financial system, ensuring they align with the company's policies.
- Prepare financial statements including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Supervise the process of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Handle all matters related to taxation, including filing of sales tax, withholding tax payments, and other related tax entries.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and handle tax returns and audits.
- Manage LC (Letter of Credit) documentation and processes for imports and exports.
- Monitor monthly and annual financial closings and ensure that financial reports are ready on time.
- Analyze financial data and provide detailed reports to management for decision-making.
- Stay updated on the latest accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and tax authorities as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- At least 5 years of proven experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing or packaging industry.
- Strong knowledge of LC operations, financial statements, and tax laws.
- Hands-on experience in ERP systems and accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
