Description:
The Sales Representative will play a crucial role in driving sales, building relationships, and expanding the customer base for their concrete products. This position requires an individual with a strong understanding of the construction industry, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. The Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and achieving sales targets in a competitive marketplace.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Growth & Account Management:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets for concrete products in assigned territory or market segment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers, including contractors, architects, engineers, and distributors.
- Identify new business opportunities and work closely with the sales team to convert leads into long-term clients.
- Present and promote the full range of concrete products and solutions to potential clients, understanding their specific needs and requirements.
- Provide quotes, negotiate pricing, and close sales deals in alignment with company objectives.
Customer Support & Product Knowledge:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, offering excellent customer service, timely follow-ups, and technical support.
- Provide in-depth knowledge of product specifications, manufacturing processes, and applications of concrete products.
- Advise clients on product selection, installation methods, and best practices to ensure customer satisfaction.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to identify potential business opportunities.
- Track and report on sales activity, customer feedback, and market developments to management on a regular basis.
- Assist in the development of marketing materials and promotional strategies to enhance product visibility and sales.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Work closely with the production, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure timely and accurate product deliveries.
- Participate in sales meetings, training sessions, and product demonstrations to stay updated on product offerings and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of sales experience in the construction or building materials industry, with a focus on concrete products or related materials preferred.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and growing business accounts.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence clients.
- Knowledge of concrete products, manufacturing processes, and the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
