Research Analyst

Description:

The role would require you to:

• Synthesize complex data from multiple sources into compelling stories and reports and help serve as a liaison to internal and external audiences
• Stay abreast of trends in renewable energy, sustainable work process, environmental science and risks and opportunities in the ESG space
• Contribute to the development of the company’s ESG related products, thought leadership content and customer presentations and reports
• Assist the client-facing sustainability strategy team with various projects, including sustainability reporting and narrative building
• Provide input to our IT team, acting as a business user as they design ESG-related systems and workflows
• Support the development of ESG strategy services to clients using our internal methodology to create bespoke programs
• Provide general research and tactical support to senior professionals, including special projects, asset class implementation research, client reviews, and market analysis
• Use statistical, economic, and data modelling techniques and tools and prepare outputs for internal use as well as for client projects

Experience and skills required

·        BS/MS degree in Finance or ACCA Affiliate

·        2-3 years experience in advisory, research, credit rating agency or data management

·        Experience in ESG sector will be preferred

·        Command over ESG certifications and standards such as LEED, EDGE, GRI, TCFD, SASB, GHG protocol etc will be preferred

·        Strong mathematical, analytical, and data modelling skills

·        Excellent problem-solving, communication, presentation and team-working skills

·        Advanced level proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Urdu)
