Reliability Engineer

Description:

· Assist Manager to perform reliability allocation to sub-systems

· Assist Manager to perform reliability predictions and calculations (Parts Count Analysis & Parts Stress Analysis)

· Understand system including but not limited to subsystems, Line replaceable units (LRUs), Shop Replaceable units (SRUs), to the level required for the development of basic and mission Reliability Block Diagram (RBD) based on the Functional Block Diagram (FBD) and allocation of failure rates and reliability metrics as per the specified condition and mission time.

· Assist in development of reliability block diagram by understanding system inter-relation ships.

· Study different reliability standards and reliability program activities.

· Assist in analyzing, predicting and determining Reliability variables (including failure rates, MTBF) based on specified condition in accordance with required standards

· Assist the Junior Reliability Engineer for performing failure analyses for the reliability Program including but not limited to FMECA, RCA, and FRACAS in compliance with the specified and applicable standards.

· Apply and learn the appropriate Root Cause Analysis tools for Equipment Failure Analysis

· Assist the reliability engineer in performing trend Analysis in regard to system failures

· Perform Reliability allocation for the system assigned by the Senior Reliability Engineer to ensure hardware is being designed to meet customer’s reliability specifications.

· Assist Reliability Engineer in performing reliability calculations i.e. Parts Count Analysis & Parts Stress Analysis for the assigned system / sub-system.

· Assist Reliability engineer in allocating component level reliability in accordance with the mission reliability of system.

Skills/Qualification

· Bachelor’s Degree in (Electrical or Electronic) Engineering

. Additional Master's degree in related domain from reputed university will be preferred.

· Working knowledge of system concepts and technical documentation

· Basic understanding of statistics

· Basic understanding of the failure analysis techniques.
