Description:
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects including material, labor, and equipment costs.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and within approved limits.
Tender Management:
- Analyze project drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities to prepare tender documentation.
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure best value for the project.
Contract Management:
- Assist in the preparation and administration of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Monitor and manage variations, change orders, and contractual claims, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
Cost Control & Reporting:
- Regularly monitor project expenditures and provide cost reports to the management team.
- Identify and manage risks related to cost and profitability, providing strategic advice to mitigate these risks.
Valuation & Payment:
- Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts for client approval.
- Manage and verify subcontractor payments, ensuring adherence to contractual terms.
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Attend site meetings to monitor progress and resolve any cost-related issues.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate records of all project-related documents, correspondence, and financial data.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, codes, and standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably in the interior fit-out industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
