Quality Assurance Engineer

Deel is a global technology company dedicated to helping businesses hire talent anywhere in the world. We are seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer to join our team. The role involves testing and ensuring the seamless functionality of our platform, contributing to software development lifecycle planning, and working in a highly collaborative, remote-first environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Be part of a cross-functional team, collaborating with Front-end, Back-end, Product, Design, and QA teams.
✅ Participate in product planning from discovery to deployment.
✅ Develop and execute test plans, cases, and scripts for functional, regression, and automated testing.
✅ Collaborate on building robust new features and APIs while continuously improving existing products.
✅ Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve product issues.
✅ Maintain high standards in manual and automation testing.
✅ Provide a white-glove experience for customers by ensuring high-quality releases.

Required Qualifications:

✔ 5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer.
✔ Strong Quality Assurance processes and methodologies (STD, STP).
✔ Hands-on experience with manual and automation testing.
✔ Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
✔ Knowledge of Mocha/Jest or any other test runner.
✔ Experience with Playwright/Cypress for automation testing.
✔ Strong understanding of REST API testing (Axios/Got/Postman).
✔ Familiarity with CI/CD processes.
✔ Experience with SQL queries and debugging.
✔ Knowledge of work item tools like Jira.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points for):

✅ Experience with SaaS products running on major cloud platforms.
✅ Previous experience in FinTech or HR-Tech.
✅ Experience working in distributed teams in a remote-first environment.
