Quality Assurance Engineer

Description:

As a Quality Assurance Engineer with over 5 years of experience, you will be an integral part of our software development lifecycle, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to understand requirements and implement effective testing strategies.

Responsibilities

· Develop comprehensive test plans based on project specifications.

· Define and implement testing strategies, including manual and automated testing approaches.

· Conduct functional, regression, and performance testing to validate software functionality.

· Execute test cases and document test results thoroughly.

· Utilize automation tools to create and maintain test scripts for repetitive and critical test scenarios.

· Identify opportunities for test automation and work towards continuous improvement.

· Identify, document, and prioritize defects, working closely with development teams to facilitate timely resolution.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide quality assurance input throughout the development process.

· Participate in agile/scrum ceremonies, providing valuable insights into product quality.

· Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives within the QA team.

· Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in quality assurance.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a focus on software testing.

· Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

· Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).

· Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (e.g., Java, Python) is a plus.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Strong communication and collaboration skills.
