Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

Description:

MAQSOOD LABS is seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to join our quality assurance team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Primary Responsibilities

1. Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts for web/mobile applications using tools like Selenium, Appium, or similar technologies.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, QA, DevOps) to identify automation opportunities and develop automated testing solutions.
3. Develop and execute automated tests for API, UI, and database testing.
4. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools.
5. Troubleshoot automated test failures and resolve issues.
6. Monitor and report on automated test results, providing insights for improvement.
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new tools/technologies in automation.

Secondary Responsibilities

1. Participate in manual testing and exploratory testing when needed.
2. Collaborate with QA team members to develop and maintain test cases and test plans.
3. Contribute to the development of testing standards, guidelines, and processes.
4. Assist in training junior team members on automation frameworks and tools.

Requirements:

Essential Skills

1. 3+ years of experience in QA automation engineering.
2. Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python
3. Experience with automated testing frameworks (Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Pytest).
4. Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
5. Understanding of Agile methodologies and version control systems (Git).
6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
