Description:
Education:
• First level university degree in Gender, Development Studies, Economics, Political Science, Anthropology or any other relevant Social Science discipline.
Experience:
A minimum of 2 to 3 years of relevant postgraduate professional work experience in community engagement, protection, gender and/or accountability to affected populations.
• Experience in using a variety of quantitative and qualitative analytical tools, methods and approaches.
• Previous experience in humanitarian or development contexts (International organizations and/or UN system)
Knowledge & skills:
• Good knowledge of WFP’s mandate and work;
• Good knowledge of protection and accountability to affected populations, including gender equality and women’s empowerment;
• Strong analytical, research and writing skills;
• Understanding of the UN system;
• Good knowledge of programme design, implementation and operational challenges in food and nutrition security.
