Project Manager

Alkhidmat Foundation is actively seeking a Project Manager for its WASH Program in Sindh. The Project Manager will play a pivotal role in leading, planning, and overseeing the successful implementation of Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) projects across various communities. The individual will ensure that initiatives improve access to clean water, establish proper sanitation facilities, and promote hygiene awareness and practices.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about community development and experienced in WASH program management within the humanitarian or development sector.

Key Responsibilities:
✅ Develop and execute strategic plans for the WASH Program in line with organizational objectives and community needs.
✅ Lead a team of technical experts, field staff, and community workers to successfully implement WASH projects.
✅ Plan and oversee projects like Water Filtration Plants, Community Hand Pumps, Small Hand Pumps, Electrical Submersible Pumps, and Solar Submersible Pumps across Sindh.
✅ Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track project progress, assess impact, and ensure continuous improvement.
✅ Ensure all activities comply with national regulations, international WASH standards, and best practices.
✅ Conduct capacity-building workshops, offering technical guidance to field teams and local partners to strengthen community ownership.
✅ Prepare progress reports and present updates to senior management, donors, and other key stakeholders.

Requirements:
✔️ Master’s degree in Project Management, Environmental Engineering, Public Health, Social & Development Studies, or a related discipline.
✔️ Minimum 5 years of proven experience managing WASH programs, preferably in NGOs, humanitarian work, or development organizations.
✔️ Strong grasp of WASH principles, including water supply systems, sanitation infrastructure, and hygiene promotion strategies.
✔️ Demonstrated expertise in project cycle management—from planning to implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
✔️ Exceptional leadership, team management, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
✔️ Ability to work effectively in multicultural environments and engage with government bodies, donors, community members, and technical experts.
✔️ Familiarity with budgeting, procurement processes, and reporting requirements for development projects.
