Description:
The Program Officer will play a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring NDF’s programs, particularly in the areas of social cohesion, youth empowerment, peacebuilding, climate action human rights, and sustainable development. This position requires an individual with a strong commitment to sustainable development, community engagement, and program management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development and Implementation: Design, plan, and execute programs related to social cohesion, peacebuilding, youth engagement, and climate change adaptation. Collaborate with stakeholders, including local communities, government agencies, and international organizations, to ensure program success.
- Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with local communities to identify their needs and ensure program alignment with on-ground realities. Organize and facilitate workshops, dialogues, and training sessions to promote awareness and active participation.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness and impact. Prepare regular reports, including program progress, outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.
- Partnerships and Networking: Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with relevant organizations, donors, and stakeholders. Represent NDF at national and international forums, conferences, and events.
- Resource Mobilization: Assist in identifying potential funding opportunities and drafting proposals for NDF’s initiatives. Ensure the efficient allocation and utilization of resources across projects.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all program activities, meetings, and events. Prepare comprehensive reports, including program progress, case studies, and success stories, for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Sciences, Environmental Economics, Development Studies, Economics, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience in community mobilization and stakeholder engagement. Volunteer work may also be considered.
- Strong project management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills in English and Urdu.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , Canva and other relevant software.
- Knowledge of data analytics and visualization techniques will be a plus.
