Description:

We are looking for a UI/UX Designer, who will work under the guidance of the design leadership to create user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces. This role involves taking part in specific phases of the design process, focusing on understanding user needs and aiding in the delivery of design assets. The Associate UI/UX Designer will work closely with other designers and developers to bring designs to life and is a role that is well suited to designers who are new to the field and looking to develop their skills. This role requires a blend of creative talent and a strong willingness to learn and apply user-centered design principles.Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting user research to understand user needs and behaviors, under the direction of senior team members.
  • Create wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes to define the basic structure and functionality of user interfaces.
  • Assist in the implementation of visual design elements, using color, typography, and graphics based on brand guidelines.
  • Support the design of layouts with well-organized, consistent, and accessible content, under supervision.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of product design systems, including component libraries and style guides.
  • Implement accessibility standards and cultural considerations, under guidance, to produce inclusive designs.
  • Collaborate with UX Designers to turn wireframes into refined designs.
  • Assist in preparing detailed design specifications and assets for front-end developers.
  • Participate in usability testing and user feedback sessions.
  • Contribute to the creation of user personas and user journey maps.
  • Provide and solicit feedback on designs, with an emphasis on learning and development.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Some experience in UI and UX design, with a portfolio showcasing foundational design work.
  • Exceptional visual design skills, including an understanding of color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Familiarity with creating wireframes and low-fidelity prototypes, using tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Basic understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards.
  • Ability to learn to create and maintain design systems, including tokenization, component libraries and style guides.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and a passion for creating intuitive and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Willingness to learn to translate user research into design solutions.
  • Basic understanding of the design process.
