Procurement Officer

 

Description:

Emaar Pakistan is hiring a Procurement Officer to join our dynamic team in Karachi. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual to support and optimize the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of quality materials, goods, and services at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills, strong knowledge of procurement processes, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.


Key Responsibilities:

➡️ Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for materials, equipment, and services.
  • Conduct supplier assessments to ensure quality, delivery timelines, and cost-efficiency.

➡️ Procurement Process Management:

  • Issue and manage purchase orders and maintain proper procurement documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate reordering to prevent shortages.

➡️ Cost Optimization & Quality Control:

  • Ensure cost-effective purchasing while upholding high-quality standards.
  • Continuously evaluate cost-saving opportunities without compromising on service levels.

➡️ Cross-Department Collaboration:

  • Work closely with internal teams including project management, operations, and finance to understand procurement needs and timelines.
  • Ensure smooth coordination between departments and vendors for seamless procurement processes.

➡️ Compliance & Reporting:

  • Maintain compliance with internal procurement policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
  • Maintain detailed procurement records and generate periodic reports for management review.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Procurement Officer or similar role.
  • Prior experience within the real estate industry or relevant service sector is highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier negotiations, and vendor relationship management.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and procurement software/tools.
