Description:
This position is responsible for accurately and efficiently pricing labor and materials for takeoffs related to construction projects in the USA. These projects encompass a diverse range of scales, including residential, commercial, and industrial. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and a thorough understanding of construction practices and materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Estimation:
- Review takeoffs, specifications, and other relevant documents to accurately understand project scope and requirements.
- Utilize industry-standard software like RS Means for pricing
- Develop accurate material lists and quantities for each project.
- Research and analyze current market prices for labor and materials in the USA construction market.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Consider factors such as project location, local labor rates, and potential project challenges in cost estimation.
- Proposal Preparation:
- Assist in the preparation of competitive proposals for clients in the USA, including cost breakdowns and supporting documentation.
- Ensure proposals are accurate, complete, and submitted within deadlines.
- Project Tracking:
- Maintain accurate records of all pricing data and project documentation.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, and changes in building codes and regulations in the USA.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy of pricing.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of company pricing standards and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Experience: 2+ years of experience in construction cost estimating. Experience with USA construction projects is highly preferred.
