Presales Engineer

Description:

We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Presales Engineer specializing in Datacentre, ELV and Passive Solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing technical expertise, creating compelling solutions, and supporting the sales process to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Solution Design and Development: Collaborate with the Sales/Technical team to understand customer requirements, site survey and develop tailored Datacentre, ELV and Passive solutions that meet their needs.

• Technical Expertise: Provide deep technical knowledge on datacentre infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, cooling, power, fire alarm, access control, surveillance system, Data Centre Relocation or Organizing and passive components such as cabling and racking.

• Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to gather requirements, conduct needs assessments, and present solutions that demonstrate the value and benefits of our offerings.

• Proposal Preparation: Develop comprehensive and compelling proposals, including technical specifications, diagrams, and cost estimates, to support the sales process.

• Demonstrations and Presentations: Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations to showcase the capabilities and advantages of our datacentre and passive solutions.

• RFP/RFI Response: Lead the response to Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Information (RFIs), ensuring timely and accurate submission of technical documentation.

• Market and Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor offerings to provide insights and recommendations for product and solution enhancements.

• Training and Enablement: Provide training and technical support to the sales team and partners to enhance their knowledge and ability to sell our solutions effectively.

• Customer Support: Offer post-sales support to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications in relevant technologies are a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in a presales or technical consulting role, with a focus on datacentre and passive solutions.

Technical Skills:

· Strong understanding of ELV systems & IT network infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, CCTV systems, access control etc.

· Knowledge of passive components such as cabling, racks, power distribution units, and cooling systems.

· Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for datacentre design and operation.

· Expertise in applications like Excel, Word, PowerPoint and AutoCAD/ 3ds max.
