Planning Officer

 

Description:

Prime HR is seeking a Planning Officer to support financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions. The role requires expertise in financial modeling, variance analysis, budgeting, and collaboration with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyze control files, including sales dashboards, debtor’s dashboards, sales to GP analysis, and working capital monitoring.
  • Identify and report variances to management after investigating reasons.
  • Perform closing activities with the FICO team, including cycles reporting and cost adjustments.
  • Conduct monthly cost reviews and ensure necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare and analyze schedules for inventory, discount, and debtors’ provisions on a monthly basis.
  • Perform monthly sales and production analysis for tax calculation verification.
  • Develop and analyze working capital models for financial planning.
  • Prepare essential monthly reports, including:
    • Gases purchases report
    • FTE Headcount report
    • 3rd party employees report
    • Profit or loss statement for Carbon Dioxide JV with Fatima Fertilizers Limited
  • Monitor fuel and power cost trends and analyze their impact on product costing.
  • Review and track product costing for accuracy and improvements.
  • Assess plant performance using the Plant Parameters Report.
  • Prepare monthly presentations for CEO, CFO, and Board of Directors meetings.
  • Compile weekly updates by coordinating with all departments for reporting to the Chairman.
  • Support the sales team in executing tasks as per the financial plan.
  • Assist external auditors with inventory, debtors, and sales accounts.
  • Participate in annual budget preparation, collaborating with all company departments.
  • Compile and analyze budget data, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Prepare Board of Directors presentation for budget approval.
  • Upload budget data into SAP for monthly reporting purposes.
  • Handle additional tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Requirements:

🎓 Academic Qualification:

  • ACCA / ICMAP Qualified

📌 Experience:

  • 3 – 4 years of Financial Planning experience

📊 Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
  • Proficiency in SAP & financial reporting tools
  • Expertise in budgeting, variance analysis, and cost monitoring
  • Strong understanding of product costing and working capital models
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
