Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience to be part of our development team. As a Senior PHP Developer at Soft Tech AE, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex web applications. You will collaborate with our teams in Dubai and Lahore, ensuring the delivery of robust and scalable software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain PHP-based web applications with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, designers, and other developers to define new features and ensure the delivery of quality products.
- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot issues, and resolve bugs.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Work with front-end developers to integrate UI/UX designs into applications.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services for enhanced functionality.
- Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging PHP trends, tools, and technologies.
- Ensure adherence to best practices and security standards.
- Work with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ensure optimal data storage and retrieval.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of professional PHP development experience.
- Strong proficiency in PHP (OOP) with experience in popular PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or CodeIgniter.
- Solid experience with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX).
- Proficient in database management (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and working with RESTful APIs.
- Strong knowledge of Git and version control systems.
- Experience in optimizing applications for speed and scalability.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, especially in an onsite role with global teams.
