Description:
We are seeking a skilled Performance Engineer to join our team. The Performance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the high performance and scalability of our software applications and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, tools, and best practices, as well as experience in analyzing performance metrics and identifying areas for optimization.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute performance test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to measure system performance under various conditions.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and areas for improvement through analysis of system metrics, logs, and other performance data.
- Collaborate with software developers, architects, and other stakeholders to implement performance enhancements and optimizations.
- Design and implement performance monitoring solutions to continuously assess and improve system performance.
- Conduct load testing, stress testing, and scalability testing to assess system behavior and performance under peak load conditions.
- Document and communicate performance test results, findings, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and techniques related to performance testing and optimization.
Ideal Profile
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Performance Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in software development and performance testing.
- Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or Gatling.
- Experience with monitoring and profiling tools such as New Relic, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace.
- Solid understanding of software architecture, networking, and database systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex performance issues.
- Familiarity with scripting and programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices.
