Oracle Apps Database Administrator

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle APPS DBA to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of relevant experience with demonstrated expertise in Oracle Applications and Database Administration. The role involves overseeing critical tasks, ensuring system availability, and maintaining optimal performance across database environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Patching and Cloning:

Expertise in applying patches and cloning Oracle Applications and databases in multi-node environments.

Performance Tuning:

Analyze and resolve performance bottlenecks across Oracle Applications and Databases.

RMAN Backup and Restore:

Manage and execute RMAN backups and recovery strategies to ensure database integrity and availability.

Data Guard Administration:

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Oracle Data Guard environments.

Implement Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions, and conduct regular DR drills to validate readiness.

Database and Application Backups:

Ensure scheduled and ad hoc backups of Oracle Applications and Databases.

Manage backups for Microsoft SQL Server environments.

Disaster Recovery Implementation:

Implement DR solutions for both Oracle and SQL Server environments, ensuring minimal downtime in case of disruptions.

Additional Responsibilities:

SQL Server Administration:

Administration of Microsoft SQL Server, including backup strategies, and replication or mirroring setups.

Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues for SQL Server environments.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

10-12 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle APPS DBA.

In-depth knowledge of Oracle Applications (R12/ERP), Database Administration, and related technologies.
