Operations Manager

 

Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and streamline the day-to-day operations of our textile factory specializing in the printing and stitching of sports apparel. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of production management, order processing, fabric stock management, and shipment logistics. They will ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and efficient use of resources while maintaining quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Order Management:

  • Oversee the entire order lifecycle from receiving to final delivery.
  • Coordinate with the sales and production teams to ensure that orders are processed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Ensure that all orders are documented, tracked, and managed effectively, including customer specifications and delivery timelines.

 

Production Planning & Management:

  • Manage production schedules to meet order deadlines while optimizing capacity.
  • Oversee printing and stitching operations, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
  • Monitor work-in-progress and finished goods inventory levels to ensure alignment with production goals.
  • Collaborate with the production team to resolve any issues or bottlenecks during the manufacturing process.

 

Fabric & Stock Management:

  • Manage fabric and materials stock levels, ensuring availability for upcoming orders.
  • Maintain records of fabric usage, ensuring proper inventory control to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely restocking of materials.

 

Shipment & Logistics:

  • Coordinate with shipping teams to ensure timely dispatch and delivery of finished goods.
  • Monitor shipment schedules to align with customer requirements and production output.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all shipments, including packing lists and invoices.

 

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain detailed documentation of all orders, production activities, and shipment records.
  • Prepare reports on production output, stock levels, and delivery timelines for senior management.
  • Use Microsoft Office apps (Excel, Word, etc.) to create and manage production and inventory reports.

 

Quality Assurance:

  • Work closely with the quality control team to ensure all products meet the company’s standards for sports and activewear.
  • Address any customer complaints or product defects promptly and implement corrective actions.

 

Team Management & Communication:

  • Lead and mentor the production team, providing guidance on day-to-day tasks and performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, promoting efficiency and quality in operations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (sales, procurement, and logistics) to ensure smooth operational flow.

 

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Textile Engineering, Production Management, or related field.
  • 5-6 years of experience in operations or production management, preferably in sports and activewear apparel.
  • Strong knowledge of order management, fabric stock management, and production processes (printing and stitching).
  • Familiar with logistics and shipment management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
