Description:
JC Buckman Furniture is seeking an Operations Manager with a passion for furniture production and a strong track record of operational excellence. The Operations Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the production process, ensuring quality standards are met, and coordinating resources to meet production targets efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
· Production Planning: Develop and execute production plans to meet customer demand and inventory targets, while ensuring optimal utilization of resources and adherence to production schedules.
· Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that all furniture products meet the company's quality standards, and continuously improve quality processes.
· Resource Management: Manage and optimize the allocation of human resources, materials, and equipment to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.
· Cost Control: Monitor and manage production costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
· Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of production staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
· Health and Safety: Implement and enforce safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with all relevant regulations.
· Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct regular stock checks, and implement efficient inventory control practices.
· Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.
· Supplier and Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components.
· Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, prepare regular reports on production performance, and provide insights for strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
· 2-3 years of experience in furniture production or manufacturing management.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proficiency in production software and Microsoft Office applications.
· Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
