This is a remote contract role for a Chinese online tutor and teacher. As a Chinese Online Tutor and Teacher, your primary responsibility will be to deliver high-quality online Chinese language lessons to students. You will create engaging lesson plans, provide personalized instruction, and assess student progress to ensure their language development. This role requires strong communication skills, adaptability, and a genuine passion for teaching Chinese to learners of various ages and proficiency levels.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin) language
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills in Chinese
• Experience in teaching Chinese as a second language (online or offline)
• Strong knowledge of Chinese culture and traditions
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate and inspire students
• Patient, understanding, and adaptable teaching style
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple students and lesson schedules
• Reliable internet connection and access to necessary teaching tools
• Previous experience using online teaching platforms and tools is a plus
• Teaching certifications or relevant degrees in Education are a plus
• Availability to work flexible hours to accommodate students from different time zones
